A fire that could end his world as he knew it.
Ava Chen is a free spirit trapped by nightmares of a childhood she can’t remember.
But despite her broken past, she’s never stopped seeing the beauty in the world…including the heart beneath the icy exterior of a man she shouldn’t want.
Her brother’s best friend.
Her savior and her downfall.
Theirs is a love that was never supposed to happen—but when it does, it unleashes secrets that could destroy them both…and everything they hold dear.
Twisted Love is a brother’s best friend/opposites attract romance with a hint of suspense. It’s book one in the Twisted series but can be read as a standalone.
WARNING: This book contains a possessive, morally gray alphahole; explicit sexual content, and profanity. No cheating or menage, but if you’re looking for a traditionally sweet, loveable hero, this is not the book for you. Recommended for 18+.
Review: Let me tell you, this book deserves all the hype surrounding it! If you’re looking for the perfect spicy brother’s best friend romance that dishes out all the sass, look no further. We have the morally grey/possessive alpha type in Alex who gives off major “touch her and I’ll kill you” vibes and then there is Ava who is the total sunshine/bake all the cookies type but she’s also plagued by childhood trauma. They are both trying to overcome their demons and I love how they develop this kind of friendship while at the same time dancing around their obvious attraction to each other. Also, this book was totally wild because there is this revenge plot happening, but there are so many layers to it and I was blown away. Did I mention the fabulous friend group and the obvious set up for the rest of the series? Another part I absolutely loved was that Alex trusted Ava to deal with her own problems first before stepping in and taking over. Did I mention the grovelling and grand gesture bit? Oh, well…
CW: suicide, abuse.
