Can you keep a secret?

I grew up sick.⁣

Let me clarify.⁣

I grew up believing that real love stories include a martyr or demand great sacrifice to be worthy.⁣

Because of that, I believed it, because I made myself believe it, and I bred the most masochistic of romantic hearts, which resulted in my illness.⁣

When I lived this story, my own twisted fairy tale, it was unbeknownst to me at the time because I was young and naïve. I gave into temptation and fed the beating beast, which grew thirstier with every slash, every strike, every blow.⁣

Triple Falls wasn’t at all what it seemed, nor were the men that swept me under their wing. But in order to keep them, I had to be in on their secrets.⁣

Secrets that cost us everything to keep.⁣

That’s the novelty of fiction versus reality. You can’t re-live your own love story, because by the time you’ve realized you’re living it, it’s over. At least that was the case for me and the men I trusted my foolish heart to.⁣

Looking back, I’m convinced I willed my story into existence due to my illness.⁣

And all were punished.divider_line (1)
Review:

Can you say obsessed? I absolutely devoured this book. After reading it felt like my emotions had been put through a wood chipper and set on fire. This story is everything I didn’t know that I needed. It’s not only about the power of secrets, but also about emotion in a big way. It’s a tale of growth for all involved and it’s just such an unconventional love story, but sometimes those are the best kind. Not only is there romance, but also a large amount of suspense because I kept waiting for what big reveal/twist was going to shatter me next. Flock is about a girl trying to find herself in a world where all she can truly count on is herself and the secrets she keeps. It kind of reminded me of Robin Hood in a way because this book pits the two sides of wealth against each other. I know that might make no sense, but I’m trying not to spoil anything! Trust me when I say you this book is a pure adrenaline shot to the heart. It will make you think, feel, scream, and just hunger for more. If you’re looking for the perfect darker romance to completely gut you, then look no further. This is the ultimate good girl meets bad boys story that will set your soul on fire and then some.
