Title: Love Her or Lose Her (Hot & Hammered #2)
Author: Tessa Bailey
Publisher: Berkley
Publication Date: January 14, 2020

New York Times bestselling author Tessa Bailey returns with a unique, sexy romantic comedy about a young married couple whose rocky relationship needs a serious renovation…

Rosie and Dominic Vega are the perfect couple: high school sweethearts, best friends, madly in love. Well, they used to be anyway. Now Rosie’s lucky to get a caveman grunt from the ex-soldier every time she walks in the door. Dom is faithful and a great provider, but the man she fell in love with ten years ago is nowhere to be found. When her girlfriends encourage Rosie to demand more out of life and pursue her dream of opening a restaurant, she decides to demand more out of love, too. Three words: marriage boot camp.

Never in a million years did Rosie believe her stoic, too-manly-to-emote husband would actually agree to relationship rehab with a weed-smoking hippie. Dom talking about feelings? Sitting on pillows? Communing with nature? Learning love languages? Nope. But to her surprise, he’s all in, and it forces her to admit her own role in their cracked foundation. As they complete one ridiculous—yet surprisingly helpful—assignment after another, their remodeled relationship gets stronger than ever. Except just as they’re getting back on track, Rosie discovers Dom has a secret… and it could demolish everything.divider_line (1)Review: I’ll admit I was nervous going into this one after reading the first book, but this one definitely doubled the heat. It was interesting reading a romance where the couple is already together but their relationship needs serious damage control. there was definitely nothing needed to help in the chemistry department, though, because Dominic and Rosie were on fire in the physical department. Did I mention this story was a slow burn?

I loved getting to see more of the Just us League! That was one of my favourite things to come out of the first book and it was great seeing all those women taking back power in their lives. Especially Rosie, who finally took a step towards what she wants out of life after years of holding back. She definitely comes out of her shell whereas in the first book she was the quiet wife in the corner.

Dominic was, well, trying his best not to go all alpha on Rosie. He definitely didn’t play fair when it came to the no sex rule. There were quite a few parts that had me all like DAAAMN.

While I did overall enjoy this story, there was one thing that became a pet peeve for me. Every time Dominic referred to Rosie as “honey girl” I cringed. It might seem like a small thing, but considering it was practically on every page it bothered me to no end. There wasn’t even an explanation for that pet name, it was just kind of there.

Overall, this story was definitely more emotionally charged than the first one and it was basically Dominic and Rosie trying to fall in love again. There was also the set up for another book, which I’m excited for!
