November Wrap Up & Book Haul

untitleddesign287729For some reason I just can’t seem to finish a TBR. I actually haven’t completed one since August, which is crazy! I partially blame it on my reading mood lately because I’ve been craving romance so much and so many amazing ones have released this fall. Basically, I just need to make them smaller so I can actually complete them and I also need to find my reading rhythm again.

I think the star of the show last month was definitely Get a Life, Chloe Brown (see review). It was just fantastic all around and I couldn’t put it down! My second favourite of the month was Serpent & Dove (see review), which I was nervous for because it was HYPED. I seriously loved Lou so much and it was hilarious how easily she pressed all Reid’s buttons. If you love witchy books with endless banter and sarcasm, don’t hesitate!

I think my third favourite of the month was definitely The Bromance Book Club. It was so fun reading about guys taking romance advice from books! They all took it so seriously and it was H-O-T. Also, I just need more of Mack. Next up I read Into the Crooked Place (see review), which had a fantastic cast of characters! I recommend if you enjoyed books like Six of Crows and Ace of Shades.

Coming up short for me was Not the Girl You Marry. I have yet to post my full review, but I struggled with this one and I think I overhyped it too much and had higher expectations.

I also got a lot of books last month, but most of them came from when I went to the Indigo holiday sale which I clearly couldn’t resist because my self control is zero. Then there is the fact that I got both of Erin Morgenstern’s books because I attended not one but TWO events for her which I will recap in a separate post.

I also received some amazing books from publishers as well and I can’t even express to you how excited I am to have The Happy Ever After Playlist in my hands! If you haven’t read The Friend Zone yet WHAT ARE YOU EVEN DOING?!

Here’s hoping I can actually READ some books this month to balance out how many I got in November. My TBR is crying on the inside, but it’s looking fabulous on the outside. And slightly overwhelming. Oh well.

What have you been reading lately? Are any of these on your TBR? Did you get any new books last month? Let me know in the comments!
