Maddie and Theo have two things in common:

1. Alexa is their best friend

2. They hate each other

After an “Oops, we made a mistake” kiss, neither one can stop thinking about the other. With Alexa’s wedding rapidly approaching, Maddie and Theo both share bridal party responsibilities that require more interaction with each other than they’re comfortable with. Underneath the sharp barbs they toss at each other is a simmering attraction that won’t fade. It builds until they find themselves sneaking off together to release some tension when Alexa isn’t looking.

But as with any engagement with a nemesis, there are unspoken rules that must be abided by. First and foremost, don’t fall in love.divider_line (1)
Review:

After reading the previous two books, of course I had to get my hands on this one as well! Theo and Maddie’s story was definitely cute and had it’s steamy moments, but I think I wanted more out of it. Can I just say that Theo is the classiest guy ever, though? The man can dance, brews a mean cup of coffee, and is on-call to make delicious cocktails.

I honestly think I set the bar way too high for the enemies-to-lovers trope, but I don’t think there was that much tension between Theo and Maddie. This one felt more like a frenemies with benefits story because although they claimed to despise each other it didn’t come off that way as much as I wanted.

The dialogue was also bit stiff at times and I wanted more left unsaid. I think it took away from the chemistry a bit for me because when nothing is left unsaid it kind of takes away from the moment. This was a cute story and I did enjoy reading, but I think my favourite book might be the previous one. But this one does sparkle, literally.
