Why am I excited?
This is pitched as Cinderella meets The Selection and The Odyssey and I am HERE FOR IT. Those three things combined sound like they are going to make an insanely epic story. Can we also just take a hot minute to admire that cover?! It’s giving me total renaissance vibes! I’ve been really into seafaring/sea-related YA lately so this sounds completely awesome. Honestly, this sounds like the perfect twisty fairytale. I’m really hoping for a dark and swoony sailor-type love interest. Also, if you enjoy a good duology this is a two book series!
Is this one on your TBR? Do you enjoy retellings? Let me know in the comments!
