Author:Rachel Van Dyken
Publisher: Skyscape
Publication Date: June 5, 2018

Blaire has never quite gotten over Jessie Beckett, the ex–NFL star whose kisses were hot enough to ignite the entire Eastern Seaboard. When he chose work over her, Blaire was left brokenhearted. Why else would she have married a skeezy two-timer, just to divorce him less than a year later?

Now Blaire is getting even by becoming one half of Dirty Exes, a PI firm fully committed to humiliating cheating jerks. If only the new jerk she’s been hired to uncover wasn’t Jessie Beckett himself.

Exposing Jessie isn’t going to be easy, especially when she still daydreams about his sexy smile. Further complicating matters is Colin, Jessie’s best friend. He’s gorgeous, a little bit cunning, and willing to help Blaire get the inside scoop on Jessie—for a price.

Now caught between two men—one totally right and the other totally wrong—Blaire will need to decide just how much she’s willing to risk…and whom she’s willing to risk it for.divider_line (1)
Review: Well, if this book isn’t just one hot mess! In the best ways, of course. Blaire and her best friend started Dirty Exes after they first bonded over being cheated on by men they loved. Their latest client turns out to be a man from Blaire’s past who she never really got over. But, her job is to be the bait and collect enough evidence of his cheating. Blaire is blinded by her leftover feelings and is in denial that the same man she dated could be unfaithful.

It doesn’t help that a certain sexy bartending player named Colin interferes and Blaire starts bribing him for information on his best friend. He’s so confident and cocky, but also very down to earth. Blaire definitely gets thrown off balance when he’s around.  Everything becomes complicated because Colin wants Blaire who wants Jessie who is married to the woman who hired Blaire. It definitely feels about as romantically complicated as She’s the Man!

There is so much witty banter in this book and I loved the chemistry between Blaire and Colin. It was super slow burn and filled with all the steamy goodness I could have asked for. Blaire becomes caught between the two best friends, but she is still dealing with her own anger at her cheating husband. It’s a total recipe for disaster!

I’m totally obsessed with this story and can’t wait for the next book in the series because it’s about a romance that was hinted at in this book!
