A forbidden romance.
A deadly plague.
Earth’s fate hinges on one girl . . .
CINDER, a gifted mechanic in New Beijing, is also a cyborg. She’s reviled by her stepmother and blamed for her stepsister’s sudden illness. But when her life becomes entwined with the handsome Prince Kai’s, she finds herself at the centre of a violent struggle between the desires of an evil queen – and a dangerous temptation.
Cinder is caught between duty and freedom, loyalty and betrayal. Now she must uncover secrets about her mysterious past in order to protect Earth’s future.
This is not the fairytale you remember. But it’s one you won’t forget.
Not going to lie, this was a total bookstagram buy for me. I kept seeing it all over and then saw it was a fairytale retelling and here we are. The problem is that I have a love-hate relationship with sci-fi so it might take me a while to get to this one. I hear great things, but those are from people that rave about the genre all the time. Books set in space don’t exactly float my boat, but maybe this book is a game changer? Who knows!
Have you read this series? Which genre is your least favourite? Let me know in the comments!
