Title: Crooked Kingdom
Author: Leigh Bardugo
Publisher: Henry Holt
Publication Date: September 20, 2016

When you can’t beat the odds, change the game.

Kaz Brekker and his crew have just pulled off a heist so daring even they didn’t think they’d survive. But instead of divvying up a fat reward, they’re right back to fighting for their lives. Double-crossed and badly weakened, the crew is low on resources, allies, and hope. As powerful forces from around the world descend on Ketterdam to root out the secrets of the dangerous drug known as jurda parem, old rivals and new enemies emerge to challenge Kaz’s cunning and test the team’s fragile loyalties. A war will be waged on the city’s dark and twisting streets―a battle for revenge and redemption that will decide the fate of the Grisha world.divider_line (1)
So I got ahead of myself after seeing everyone talking about Six of Crows and decided to pick up the duology. I managed to read Six of Crows finally, but then I told myself I had to go back and read the Grisha triology first. Classic me, I got sidetracked. I reeeeally want to find out what happens next for the Dregs, but I also don’t want it to end. Leigh Bardugo is a mastermind when it comes to plotting and I can’t get enough of her writing.

Have you read any of Leigh’s books? Do you enjoy YA fantasy? Let me know in the comments!

Ahhh I still have to read this one too! Been wanting to host a readalong for it (since I hosted a readalong for the first one), but have been too busy. Maybe soon I’ll either just read it, or host a readalong though…cause I can’t wait anymore :O

Also, I’ve read the Grisha books, and Wonder Woman. Still need to read Crooked Kingdom lol, aaand Language of Thorns. Also I’m super excited for the series coming out about Nikolai because I LOVE him.

I wiiiish I could stick to a schedule for reading lol but my TBR is way out of control! I basically mood read now and prioritize based on if I have ARCs to review. I still need to finish the Grisha trilogy! I’m excited for that book too and I haven’t even met Nikolai’s character yet 😂😍

Omg you need to get to this one soon! It’s even better than Six of Crows and that’s saying something… I finished the duology last month and I’m still obsessed! Although I wasn’t a huge fan of the Grisha trilogy…

I know those feels of wanting to stay in the world forever! I haven’t finished CK because I’m still forever-bitter that I was spoiled as to key moments in it hahah, and I guess it’s something I’ll never forget, but despite being 200-pages through, I personally haven’t found the right mood to continue yet. Nonetheless, hope you enjoy!

I accidentally scrolled past a huge spoiler on Twitter a few weeks ago, but I’m trying to pretend I didn’t see it. Yeah I know what you mean! I definitely have to be in the mood for a huge read like that! Thanks!

I had the same feeling of not wanting it to end. I left the last 2-3h of Crooked Kingdom audiobook for over a month because I didn’t want it to end. When I finally got to it, it was totally worth it! It’s such a good book. I really hope you like it whenever you get around to reading it 😊
